I recall the first day I met John
as if it were yesterday...
We both had been invited to perform by Will Geer at his
Theatre in Topanga Canyon in the early seventies..
Backstage was where the really good stuff was played...After the
show, John invited me over to his house to pick a few tunes
with He and Douglas Dillard...A night to remember...
So long Captain John...Thanks for all the fine times we had...
The Old River won't run quite the same as it use to now...
